Step 1: Prepare Whipped Cream Frosting

To make whipped cream frosting, in a large bowl add heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla extract and beat together until soft to almost-stiff peaks form. Place whipped cream frosting in a pastry bag and set aside.

Step 2: Prepare Cake Batter

To make cake batter, in a large bowl add sugar, all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt and mix together well. Then add eggs, milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, boiled water and mix together until smooth.

Step 3: Bake The Cake

To bake cake, grease and flour 9-inch round cake pans. Divide cake batter evenly into two prepared cake pans. Place cake pans in the oven and bake for 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove cake pans from the oven and cool cakes in the cake pan for 10 minutes.

Step 4: Serve Assemble And Decorate Cake

To assemble and decorate cake, place one cake bun on a serving plate. Spread cherry pie filling on the cake bun. Spread whipped cream frosting over the cherry pie filling. Place second cake bun on the top and frost entire cake with the remaining whipped cream frosting. Decorate cake with whipped cream frosting on the top and bottom of the cake. Line cake wall and top with the shaved chocolate. Finally place cherries on the top. Your Black Forest Cake is ready to serve. Enjoy!
