Step 1: Make Cream Cake

To prepare cream cake first we have to make its batter and to prepare that, in a bowl make a mixture of flour, baking soda and salt. In another bowl add shortening, butter along with sugar and beat them. Then add egg yolk and beat it. Add half flour mixture, buttermilk and combine them. Add the remaining flour mixture and beaten egg white, shredded coconut, chopped pecans with vanilla extract and mix them properly. Your cake batter is ready.

Step 2: Make Bake The Cake

Now we have to bake cake and for that, dust the cake pan with flour and add batter equally into it. Place pan in oven and bake the batter for 25 minutes at 350 c. After baking, place them on a wire rake and cool them.

Step 3: Make Frosting

To prepare frosting in a bowl, mix together cream cheese, butter and vanilla extract. Ensure it is creamy and smooth. You also need to add powdered sugar and chopped pecans into it.

Step 4: Decorate and Serve Cream Cake

Now it's time to decorate the cake. Start decorating with cheese cream frosting and then garnish it with yummy cherries and pecans.
