Step 1: Prepare Frosting and Fondant Leaves
To make Dark chocolate cake, first make chocolate frosting by mixing butter, milk, vanilla extract, cocoa powder and powdered sugar together. Then make a thin sheet of yellow fondant. Use cookies cutter to make shape of a leaf out of yellow fondant sheet.
Step 2: Prepare Chocolate Cake Batter
Mix eggs, butter, white sugar and vanilla extract together. Add flour, salt, baking powder, cocoa powder and milk in that mixture and mix it well. Grease a 9 inch and 3 inch cake pans with cooking spray. Then pour chocolate cake batter in both the cake pans.
Step 3: Bake Chocolate Cake
Next bake it in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. As baking is done, remove the chocolate sponge cakes from oven and allow it to cool completely.
Step 4: Assemble And Garnish Chocolate Cake
Preparation of cake is incomplete without garnishing. Arrange the sliced sponge cakes in layers. Arrange 9 inches and 3 inches sliced chocolate sponge cakes on cake stand, and apply dark chocolate frosting between the layers and all over the cake. Enhance the look of your cake by decorating it with fondant balls, fondant leaves, chocolate sprinkles, and honey bee fondant. Your yummy Dark Chocolate Cake is ready to serve!!!

- 1 cup Cocoa Powder
- 3 And 1/2 Cups Powdered Sugar
- 1 Block Yellow Fondant
- 3 Eggs

- 2 ¼ Cups White Sugar
- 2 ½ tsp Baking Powder
- 1 cup Cocoa Powder
- 2 ¾ cups All-purpose Flour
- Cooking Spray

- 2 Honey Bee Fondant
